Q1: Why do I receive an error message when I ‘Retrieve data from Xora’?

A1: Please make sure to:

1. Check if there is an internet connection
2. Configure properly (if you have a proxy or not)
3. See if your login credentials (CustomerID, user, password) to Xora is correct

Q2: Why am I getting an ‘Employee Number Error’ when I retrieve data from Xora?

A2: The reason for this error is that one or more employees are not mapped into QuickBooks yet. Each employee (user) in Xora has an employee number, and you must make sure that these employee numbers are matched to an employee in QuickBooks.

For example, if John Doe is employee number 2 in Xora, then John Doe should have an employee number/ID of 2 in QuickBooks. To add an employee number/ID in QuickBooks, double-click on the John Doe and then select the ‘Additional Info’ tab then put 2 in the Account No. (Employee ID) field.

Q3: Will qbConnector change my QuickBooks data?

A3: Yes, each time you use qbConnector you will be adding QuickBooks data into your QuickBooks file. Time entries, with or without address information, are added each time you click ‘Update QuickBooks’.

Q4: Why do I receive records with dates outside of the date range I selected in the Preview window?
A4: Some records may have dates not in the date range you specified because they are records that reached the Xora server in the specified date range.

For example: if John Doe worked on 03/03/2006 and used his phone to record those activities on that day, but John somehow ended the application before it was sent to the server, then the next time he opens up Xora’s GPS TimeTrack application on his phone (on 03/06/2006), the record for 03/03/2006 is sent to the server and should be included in the date range that includes 03/06/2006.

Q5: Why do I get an Error message in my log that starts with ‘statusCode = 3180.............’?

A5: This error message in the log means that one or more (number of times this message appears) records were not updated into QuickBooks. One or more employee(s) were set to ‘Use time data to create paychecks’ and therefore need a payroll item. You did not provide a payroll item for the records with this payroll setting.

Personable Mobile qbConnector actually checks each employee’s payroll setting before the update to see if this option of using time data to create paychecks is on or not. In order to let qbConnector to check each employee’s payroll setting (which is sensitive information), you will need to do the following:

go to ‘Edit’ on QuickBooks top menu. Then go to ‘Preferences..’
-> ‘Integrated Applications’
-> ‘Company Preferences Tab’
-> ‘Select Personable Mobile qbConnector’
-> Click ‘Properties’ button
-> Place a check on ‘Allow this application to access Social Security Numbers, customer credit card information, and other personal data’
-> Then just ‘OK’ out of all the windows.

Once you’ve changed qbConnector’s setting, you should be free of this error message in the log.

Q6: Why am I getting duplicate records in QuickBooks?

A6: When you update QuickBooks, QuickBooks allows duplicate time entries to exist. A cause for this can be due to the retrieving data from Xora part of the program.

If you retrieve data from March3-March5 and updated QuickBooks successfully for all the records in that date range, then you retrieve data from March5-March7 and do the same, QuickBooks will have duplicates for the March 5 records.

So, please make sure you do not ‘Update QuickBooks’ when there is a record(s) that is already present in QuickBooks. In order to prevent duplicates, just delete the record(s) in the ‘Preview’ window. You can also delete these duplicate records in QuickBooks itself.

Q1: I have purchased the qbConnector Download, where should I save the file?

A1: You need to download qbConnector on to the computer that you want to use the program. Each CDKey(s) you are given can only be used once, it cannot be used again to install qbConnector on this or any other computer.

Q2: Why don't I see any activity from qbConnector when I'm using QuickBooks?

A2: Make sure that the "Don't allow any applications to access this company file" option is not checked. To do this go to the QuickBooks "Edit" menu, then "Preferences", "Integrated Applications" and finally "Company Preferences".
